5th February, 2017
Kashmir is metaphorically referred to as the earthly paradise because of its natural beauty. But now the area that was famous for its scenic beauty is in crises and has been destroyed by the Indian brutes. Kashmir Solidarity Day is celebrated on 5th of February in the observance of Pakistan’s support and unity with the people of Indian-occupied Kashmir, their ongoing freedom struggle, and to pay homage to Kashmiri martyrs who lost their lives fighting for Kashmir’s freedom. The day was first observed under the call of a political party in 1990.
In PISR (J.B.W), a special assembly program was conducted on 5th of February 2017 under the supervision of Wing Head. In which speeches, national songs, poetry about Kashmir was presented and national anthem of Azad Kashmir was also played.
A talented disciple Mohammad Mudassir from grade III-B presented a speech to throw light on the present situation of the Kashmiries and prayed for their struggle to get fruitful.
Another very talented student Arsalan from grade III-E sang a song named “Daikho tum Kashmir ko…..Zulm ki tasweer ko….” which depicts now a day scenario of the beautiful valley.
Beside the students teachers also participated zealously, our assembly incharge Mrs. Noumana Usman presented a beautiful poetry about the beautiful land, “ Chalo Kashmir chaltay hain….”. And Mrs. Neelofar Asad said some verses of a well known stanza, “Yaarane jahan kehtay hain Kashmir hai Jannat…”
Apart from these a tarana named “Kashmiri bachay ki iltija”… and national anthem of Azad Kashmir had also been played before the singing of national anthem.
